On 12 August a plaque was unveiled by Joan Merry, to commemorate the renaming of the Merry Halls student accommodation, on Victoria Road, in honour of her husband, the late Past Deacon Convener James Merry, who was so instrumental in the original conversion of this building, which is the primary source of income for the Nine Trades.
