Cordiner Craft Dinner

For the first time since 1822, the Cordiner Craft gathered for an official Craft Dinner — a landmark moment celebrating heritage, fellowship, and the enduring spirit of Dundee’s historic trades.

Members of the Craft were deeply honoured to welcome the Aberdeen Shoemakers Incorporation, led by Deacon Barney Crockett, as special guests at the Apex Hotel. Representatives from many of the Dundee Trades also joined the occasion, strengthening bonds across Scotland’s craft and trade communities.

Guests enjoyed excellent food, fine wine, and a series of insightful talks that highlighted the importance of preserving Scotland’s craft traditions while embracing new opportunities for partnership.

The Cordiner Craft expressed its enthusiasm for building on these renewed connections, ensuring that this historic gathering becomes the foundation for future shared events and initiatives.
