Sunday 19th May was Weaver’s Sunday at the Trades Kirk in Dundee. Deacon Richard Irvine who was joined by members of the Craft did a reading and spoke to the congregation about the Digitalisation Project and how they could take part. The Digitalisation Project aims to scan and make available online all the archives of not just the Weaver Incorporation of Dundee, but all those of the Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee dating by to the early 1500s. Volunteers can get involved in the transcription process, copying the scanned handwritten documents into a machine readable format.
