Bonnetmaker’s Welcome New Member

At the Bonnetmaker Craft supper in September, Iain Ross was welcomed as a new member.
Iain grew up in Banff, Aberdeenshire, and was the first pupil from Macduff High School to attend university. He studied Geography at the University of Aberdeen and went on to complete postgraduate studies in Town Planning at Oxford.
His professional career spanned several decades, including posts with Inverness Town Council, Highland Regional Council, and Tewkesbury Borough Council, before spending 25 years with Dundee City Council.
Now retired, Iain remains active in Rotary and Probus, and enjoys golf, family history, travel, and gardening. A family man, he and his wife Ann have three sons and five grandchildren.
Through his long association with Dundee, Iain has developed strong community ties which he now brings into his membership of the Craft.
