The Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee biennial dinner took place at the Woodlands Hotel, Broughty Ferry on Friday 30th September. It has been three years since the last biennial event however it was worth waiting for. It was a fantastic evening with well over 100 craft members attending and was one of the highlights of the Deacon Convenor’s tenure of extended office. Guest speakers included, Lord Provost Campbell, BBC Sports broadcaster, Jim Spence and Lord Dean of Guild, Scott Williamson. Deacon Convenor Murray said, ‘The occasion is an important opportunity to celebrate who we are and to show the wider community that the Nine are an important part of the City of Dundee’.
